Usage

Basic Box Rotation

  1. Prepare 3D View: Open a 3D view and ensure the section box is visible and enabled.
  2. Adjust Section Box: Resize the section box to focus on your desired area (optional).
  3. Navigate to NonicaTab → Rotate Box To Face.
  4. Select Box: Choose the section box or scope box you want to rotate.
  5. Select Target Face: Click on any face of a wall, floor, roof, or other Revit element.
  6. Execute: Click "Apply and Run" to rotate the selected box parallel to the selected face.

Advanced Applications

  1. Off-Axis Buildings: Use for parking lots, angled buildings, or non-orthographic designs.

FAQ

You can select any face from walls, floors, roofs, columns, beams, or any other Revit element. The tool works with both straight.

It's recommended to adjust the section box size first to focus on your area of interest, but it's not required. The tool maintains the current section box dimensions while changing only the orientation.

The section box will rotate to align with the orientation of the selected face. For complex geometries, choose the face that best represents your desired viewing angle.
